The Divisions of Infectious Diseases and Molecular Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center are recruiting an early-stage or mid-career level faculty member to complement our current strong research programs in the areas of Microbiology & Immunology. We are seeking an outstanding researcher who will establish or advance an innovative research program that may focus on bacterial pathogenesis, infections due to ESKAPE pathogens, and novel antimicrobial, immunotherapeutic and vaccine development. The ideal candidate will have established NIH or equivalent grant funding; however other exceptionally promising candidates will also be considered. Commensurate with academic experience, the new faculty member will receive an academic appointment at the Assistant Professor level or higher within the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The Divisions of Infectious Diseases and Molecular Medicine are also part of the Lundquist Institute for Infection and Immunity which has a strong tradition of foundational and translational research in bacteriology and mycology.
