Description

Senior Hydrogeologist Positions in Wisconsin and Illinois

KPRG is looking to fill Senior Hydrogeologist positions in both the Brookfield, Wisconsin and Westmont, Illinois offices. 

KPRG’s Senior Hydrogeologists develop, oversee and direct project teams consisting of Geologists and Engineers applying their geological training and expertise to assist private sector clients in addressing and resolving their short and long-term environmental liabilities. This position has a blend of both office and field work as well as client interaction and development. This position includes preparation of environmental and geologic reports in conformance with project objectives and mentoring junior staff team members in their career development.  The successful candidate will also be expected to work in conjunction with senior engineering staff in developing innovative and cost-effective remedial solutions to subsurface contamination issues.

He or she is expected to coordinate all activities with the project manager and team including;

·         Planning and directing field explorations, soil logging, well installations and various environmental media sampling;

·         Planning and directing aquifer stress tests along with subsequent data evaluations;

·         Performing statistical evaluations of groundwater chemistry;

·         Preparing complex as well as routine reports including regulatory groundwater reporting;

·         Mentoring junior staff in data evaluation and report writing skills; and

·         Participating in the preparation and presentation of project results to clientele, regulators and the public.



Requirements

The successful candidate must have a minimum of a B.S. in Geology with an emphasis in Hydrogeology, 6+ years of professional experience along with applicable state Professional Geologist certifications and a thorough knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulations as they pertain to subsurface soil and groundwater contamination issues. Knowledge of Federal and State Coal Combustion Rule regulations and/or litigation support experience a plus.
